Taking Care of Your Skin in the Fall

As the summer months disappear, it is time to start thinking about autumn skincare. The high heat and intense sunlight of summer can wreak havoc on your skin. Rejuvenating your skin and preparing it for the colder months are crucial during autumn. How can you restore your skin to a healthy status?

Moisturize: The summer months can easily take away the moisture in your skin. Using a skin moisturizer with SPF can help rehydrate skin as well as dramatically reduce the chances of any further damage made by the sun. Many people might not think that the sun is a big concern giving the dropping temperature and often cloudy skies, but all the sun exposure adds up and that can lead to dry or damaged skin.

Exfoliate: There is no gentle way of exfoliating the skin to reveal the healthy new cells underneath, but it is something that will help your skin. You can either have this done by a professional, or use a renewing exfoliant to get the job done.

Stay hydrated: Be sure to drink enough water to keep your skin hydrated, while the weather does get colder, it does not mean your body will need less water. Remember, the body utilizes water when within the body, not by using water-based skincare products.
