Foods That Help Your Skin

While countless people all over the world are setting a New Year’s Resolution of losing weight, there’s another factor you should keep in mind when it comes to what you eat: your skin. While it’s very easy to get fixated on a certain number you want to see on the scale, you shouldn’t forget keeping a healthy diet to help your skin. Despite many myths out there, no food is directly linked to causing acne, so eating pizza or chocolate won’t cause you to break out unless you have food allergies, but there are certain things you can include in your diet to help your skin even just a little.

First, make sure you get some vitamin A each day from something as simple as drinking a glass of milk or eating yogurt. Vitamin A has shown to play an important part in skin health, so you shouldn't go a day without getting your recommend dose. Next, make sure you drink plenty of water. while many people go for coffee or soft drinks to get a caffeine rush, you need to mix in plenty of water throughout the day as well. Not only will drinking plenty of water help you feel fuller and make you eat less as a result, it will also help your skin stay hydrated.

In addition, you should always make sure you use professional skin care products each day to maintain a beautiful, healthy skin. A moisturizer for oily skin is a good first step to helping keep your pores clean and unclogged. Also, make sure you use a night moisturizer to help your skin heal and get nourishment while you rest.
