Education and Experience

While he is trained in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Abdullah is a specialist in facial cosmetic procedures and is highly sought-after for rhinoplasty, in particular. Dr. Abdullah recently left his practice in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to focus his attention on Lexli and his Fargo, North Dakota practice.

Throughout his nearly 25 years as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Abdullah has performed more than 6,000 surgical procedures and has accumulated more than 16,000 hours in the operating room. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago and completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where he trained under Drs. Martin Robson and John Heggers, who pioneered much of the research related to aloe’s healing abilities.

Dr. Abdullah created Lexli's first product in 1996. Today, the company is recognized as the premier line of aloe-based skin care.

As an aloe researcher and surgeon who helped to pioneer the practice of applying pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera to skin flaps to encourage healing, Dr. Abdullah has an intimate understanding of the benefits of aloe vera. Thus, when his patients began asking him which skin care brands he recommended, he was intent on directing them to a line of aloe-based products that utilized advanced active ingredients. After a fruitless search, he applied his background to the formulation of a product of his own. Launched in 1996, that product, AloeGlyC®, a glycolic acid exfoliator, set in motion the development of a full line of advanced, aloe vera skin care

Dr. Abdullah has shown that many common skin concerns can be avoided and even remedied by optimizing skin health. His research has proven that the use of pharmaceutical-grade aloe vera is a beneficial tool in that effort. Thus, he travels the world, educating skin care professionals and consumers alike about the proper ways to utilize aloe in skin care applications and how to optimize the results achieved from various aesthetic treatments. Dr. Abdullah is a frequent guest on television and radio programs throughout the United States and worldwide.
