THE IMPORTANCE OF EXFOLIATION

Despite its benefits, exfoliation is either missing from most skincare regimens or implemented improperly. In fact, many systems incorrectly advocate “gentle exfoliation,” which is contradictory since the only way to efficiently remove the thickened layers of keratin is through the use of chemical or mechanical techniques.

The level of acidity, or pH, measures the power of any chemical exfoliant. At the very least, your exfoliant needs to be more acidic than skin’s pH (6.5) to be effective. The lower the number, the more acidic.

  • Over-the-counter exfoliants typically have a pH level of 3.7-5
  • Physician-dispensed exfoliants for home use range from 3-4.5
  • Doctor’s office peels have a pH of 2 or lower
  • Lexli’s AloeGlyC® Renewing Exfoliant has an effective pH of 2.1-2.3

The simple truth is our lower pH makes AloeGlyC® a more effective exfoliant.

ALOEGLYC® – THERE IS NOTHING ELSE LIKE IT

When we set out to create our exfoliant, we were determined to develop a formula that can be used as a companion to facial treatments and procedures yet is safe and effective for at-home use. The result was AloeGlyC®, a patented formula made up of a unique blend of:

  • Aloe Vera, an anti-inflammatory that penetrates deep into the skin and minimizes skin damage
  • Glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid for removing keratin layers
  • Vitamin C to activate collagen production
  • Tiny Vitamin C beads that function as biological cofactors and antioxidants to protect the skin
  • Vitamins A and E to reduce environmental skin damage

The effective ingredients address multiple needs simultaneously. It contains all the active agents necessary to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin along with the antioxidants and anti-irritants needed to promote healing, leading to healthy, luminous complexions. Together, they form the strongest over-the-counter exfoliant available, working to remove dead skin cells while activating collagen production — the skin’s natural rejuvenation process.

The process is virtually as effective as a doctor’s office peel and results in fewer fine lines and wrinkles and an enhanced skin texture and clarity. After just a few weeks, your clients will begin to see marked improvement in the look and feel of their skin.
